From studying environmental geology to helping her city install 300+ household solar plants — turning environmental science into concrete local energy solutions.
Stage 1: how she learned it
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences and Master's degree in Environmental Geology at the University of Zagreb, plus an SDG Academy climate action certificate (2005–2011; further learning 2017–2018).
Built a scientific understanding of environmental systems, pollution and climate change that became the basis for later work in environmental protection and energy transition.
Stage 2: skills acquired
Internship at Koprivnica-Križevci County, followed by five years as Environmental Consultant at METAL-MONT d.o.o. (2011–2020).
Applied environmental legislation and waste-management procedures, maintained pollution and waste records, prepared reports and represented the company before competent authorities.
Stage 3: how she learned it
Project work at the Green Energy Cooperative (ZEZ) and KLIK Energy Cooperative (2020–2022).
Helped bring renewable energy and climate-resilient urban development closer to citizens, supported workshops and built cooperation among local actors.
Stage 4: how she learned it
Leading and implementing projects for the City of Križevci, working with public institutions, civil society, experts and international partners (2022–present).
Contributed to public-building renovation and renewable-energy measures; by the end of 2025 Križevci had more than 300 household solar plants, almost 40 business installations and 4.3 MW of connected capacity.
Stage 5: how she learned it
Energy Economics MBA at the University of Rijeka, plus conferences, professional education and community leadership through the Volim Križevce Foundation (2024–present).
Strengthens her ability to connect technical, economic and social aspects of the energy transition and design long-term solutions that reduce inequalities and build local resilience.
